Growing TOAST table size and vacuum

Hi,

There is a table with total relation size of around 19 GB , the relation size is just 200MB and most of the 19GB is used by it's toast table.

1) I don't see any dead tuples for the toast table but still it seems too large. How can we compress the toast table size ?

2) How can we find bloating on the toast table?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Nikhil

Re: Growing TOAST table size and vacuum

Hey @asotolongo

Thanks for the reply!

I have checked and there are no dead tuples, so vacuum full won't have any effect.

I want to reduce the size of the toast table but not through vacuum. Is there any other way?

Re: Growing TOAST table size and vacuum

Hi Nikhil,

Thank you for the update.

What is the output of "VACUUM VERBOSE ANALYSE <table_name>;"?

Which exact Postgres version you are using?
