There is a table with total relation size of around 19 GB , the relation size is just 200MB and most of the 19GB is used by it's toast table.
1) I don't see any dead tuples for the toast table but still it seems too large. How can we compress the toast table size ?
2) How can we find bloating on the toast table?
Thanks in advance!
Did you vacuum full to the table? vacuum full help to recover disk space
you can check that blog to see bloating
Thanks for the reply!
I have checked and there are no dead tuples, so vacuum full won't have any effect.
I want to reduce the size of the toast table but not through vacuum. Is there any other way?
Thank you for the update.
What is the output of "VACUUM VERBOSE ANALYSE <table_name>;"?
Which exact Postgres version you are using?
if there are no dead tuples, but sure exist space reutilizable, and that can rescue with vacuum full
i dont know other method to recover space disk
